Eight arrested in Dimmitt drug raids

Dimmitt, TX -- Eight people are arrested on drug charges in Dimmitt after several agencies conduct three early-morning narcotics raids.

On Saturday (Jan. 7th), officers with the Castro County Sheriff's Office, the Dimmitt Police Department, the Department of Public Safety, the Drug Enforcement Agency, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, the Parmer County Sheriff's Office, and the Lamb County Sheriff's Office executed three search warrants on private homes in Dimmitt.

At the first home, located in the 800 block of SW 4th Street, authorities found prepackaged methamphetamine, marijuana, and cash, and arrested 59 year-old Pedro "Pete" Sifuentez, 46 year-old Rosa Isela Dones, and 29 year-old Daniel Dones.

The second home, in the 600 block of NW 7th, yielded prepackaged cocaine, marijuana, and hydrocone, and arrested 31 year-old Caleb Ramirez, 27 year-old Amanda Gonzales, 26 year-old Ruben Espinoza, and 21 year-old Benny Samarripa.

At the third home, in the 600 block of NW 5th, officers seized marijuana and prescription pain medication and arrested 24 year-old Cesar Mejia.

All suspects have been arraigned on charges ranging from Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance to Possession of Marijuana.
