Man sentenced for kidnapping & rape of Clovis woman

Clovis, New Mexico - A man is sentenced to nearly 30 years in prison for the rape and kidnapping of a Clovis woman. The 9th District Attorney's office says 22 year old Jesus Oscar Dominguez was sentenced to 27 years in prison Friday for the February 2010 incident.

Dominguez knocked on the woman's door, pretended to be friends with her father, then asked to use the bathroom. He then pulled out a gun and forcibly raped her. Investigators were able to get a DNA sample from the woman, and because of "Katie's Law", which keeps a DNA record of all people arrested for felonies, and a warrant was issued for Dominguez, who was serving time for an assault charge.
