Charges in airport explosives case

Midland, Texas - The man who tried to bring explosives on a plane at the Midland airport will be thinking of his new years resolution from behind bars.

30-year-old Trey Atwater is charged with trying to bring explosives in military-grade wrapping on his flight home to Fort Bragg military base in North Carolina Saturday.

He and his family were in Texas visiting relatives for the holidays.

This is not Atwater's first run-in with the law. Back in 2002 he pleaded guilty to drinking beer or wine while driving.
