High speed chase ends with arrest

Amarillo, TX - Two men are in custody after leading police on a high-speed chase through east Amarillo Friday afternoon.

Just before noon, Amarillo firefighters responded to a tire fire in northeast Amarillo. During their effort, a driver ran over a hose without stopping.

Police chased the vehicle at speeds upwards of one hundred miles an hour. Officers finally apprehended both men in the vehicle at 34th & Arthur.

There were no injuries reported in either the fire or the chase.
