A home for the holidays for children in need

Amarillo, TX - Around three hundred children in the area are looking to find a permanent home this holiday season, and now you have a chance to find out how you can help.

A Home for the Holidays is hoping to encourage people to consider giving a child a loving home through foster care or adoption.

April Redmon and her husband John officially adopted two young sisters and say they hope others will also open their homes to the children in need.

"Don't be afraid, family services, whoever you choose is there to help you, they are there for the children and they are there for the parents too, and they provide so much education and there are so many children who need shelter, they need a home and they need to know they are loved," said April Redmon.

If you are interested in adopting a child or becoming a foster parent visit adoptchildren.org.
