Amarillo, TX - Donations given to a non-profit organization for residents in Pampa are now in the hands of a burglar.
The Pampa Police Department tells us sometime between Monday night and early Tuesday morning Good Samaritan Christian Service was broken into.
The non-profit says nearly $700 in cash was stolen and several checks of large amounts.
The burglar reportedly went to a nearby Mr. Payroll to cash a thousand dollar check Tuesday afternoon but was not successful.
The bank says the suspect was caught on tape.
"We're working with that business to obtain video from the suspect going in to the business and attempting to cash that check. It's just a matter of time until we get that video back and we can follow-up with that," says Jason Collier, Pampa Police Department.
Pampa Police currently have handwriting from the burglar which will be used as evidence.
They have one suspect in mind but are waiting to make an arrest.
They believe this burglary could be linked to others they've had this past month.
