Another employee fired after jail escape

Clovis, NM - The fallout continues from the Curry County Jail prisoner escape last month.

At least one more jail employee has been fired and other disciplined.

The County Manager isn't releasing specific details, but says four employees have been either fired, demoted or suspended.

This comes after 35-year-old Narcizo Soto Junior, who is considered a violent inmate, was allowed to simply walk out an unlocked jail door while on cleaning duty.

He was captured a short time later. He is the 11th prisoner to break out of the jail in just the past five years.
