Borger, TX - Men battling addictions in Borger will soon have a place to recover.
Drug and alcohol abuse are kept quiet in Hutchinson County, but the problem is more serious then some think, which is why Fellowship Baptist Church says they want to help these men beat their demons.
The new Crossroads Recovery Center will be the first of it's kind in the county and will focus on drug and alcohol addiction.
The men will stay in a home for 30-days and slowly be moved into working programs.
Bill Sizemore, the pastor overseeing the project, says they will help men get their lives back on track and in turn keep more families together.
"We believe that they have emotional issues, which is probably the reason for the drug use, or whatever that is, we want to make sure we handle that. We also want to handle the spiritual issues that they have in their life as well as making sure that they get exercise and are just ready and fit to go back out into society when we are done," said Sizemore.
The men will stay in the program for six months to one year.
