Portales Deputy Police Chief under investigation

Portales, New Mexico - The Portales Deputy Police Chief is on paid administrative leave pending an investigation into his possible criminal misconduct.

The District Attorney's Office won't release any further details about the probe into Lonnie Berry.

Berry has been with the Portales Police Department for 26 years.

He is set to retire December 30th. That decision was made before the investigation began.
