It's going to cost you more to ship that package

Amarillo, Texas - Soon you'll be paying more to ship packages.

Don't worry, though, you'll be able to send those Christmas presents at the current rates.

But come January, they're jumping up. UPS is hiking rates nearly 6% on ground shipping. Overnight and international rates are going up almost 7%.

FedEx is getting in on the rate hike too, raising it's prices by 6%.

Then there's the US Postal Service. Facing a loss of $5.1 billion this year, they're looking to recoup some of that money by increasing priority mail and express mail rates by about 3%.
