Clovis, NM - A Clovis man could face 27-years behind bars, after being convicted of a 2010 kidnapping and rape of a Clovis woman.
Jesus Oscar Dominguez was found guilty Friday.
A state law called "Katie's Law" helped with the conviction, since the victim was not able to identify her attacker.
The law requires felons to submit to DNA testing.
DNA evidence from the scene was collected and run through a database that holds these samples.
The connection was made to Dominguez who was in the system for prior offenses.
