The holiday season is approaching, and it's the time of the year for giving. NewsChannel 10 and Gary's Heating and Air are teaming up to give away a Carrier furnace to a family in the Amarillo Area. Simply complete the form on this page and tell us why you or someone you know is in need and should receive a new furnace.

Who is eligible? Nominees must be 18 years of age or older, reside within a 25 mile radius of Amarillo and own their home. House must have an existing central heating unit and duct work.

How to nominate: YOU MUST LOGIN OR REGISTER AS A USER FOR OUR SITE. Complete the form on this page to nominate someone.

When is the deadline to nominate? Nominations must be in by midnight on November 20th. You MUST include a brief story telling why the nominated person/persons should win AND you MUST include the Name, Address and phone number of the person/persons being nominated. If you can not nominate someone online, you can Call 806.373.2537 or go by Gary's at 2505 West 7th Ave to make your nomination. You may nominate yourself or another person in need.

When will the recipient be announced? The recipient will be chosen by an independent panel of judges. The recipient will be announced on NewscChannel 10 on November 27th.

What is the gift? A recipient will receive a Carrier furnace including installation from Gary's Heating and Air.

    Amarillo Police are looking for three suspects who are accused of stabbing a man early Sunday morning. They say the victim was at the Sanborn park around 2:30 a.m. when he was approached by the suspects. Officials say the victim was stabbed twice in the abdomen and was transported to the hospital. If you know anything about this incident, call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.

    There are over 400 national parks in America, one of which is here in our area.This week, the Alibates Flint Quarries National Park is celebrating national park week. Until the 27th, you're invited to stop by our local national park where you can hike, camp and enjoy the wild life. On the 22nd, national parks are honoring Earth Day. They encourage you to stop by and help pick up trash to help keep our parks beautiful.
