300-acre wildfire destroys one building

Amarillo, TX - Fire crews mopped up their operations on a 300-acre grass fire Wednesday afternoon.

The fire started Tuesday afternoon near FM 1061, and took firefighters more than 24 hours to extinguish it.

Officials say the fire was started by sparks thrown from a passing train.

One structure was destroyed and another was damaged.

No injuries were reported.
