Melrose Bank robbery suspect will spend 5 years behind bars

Tucumcari, NM - A Tucumcari woman will spend the next five years behind bars for robbing a Melrose bank.

20 year old Juana Griego was convicted on one count of armed robbery and one count of tampering with evidence.

The robbery happened in April of 2010.

Authorities say four people robbed the bank, but Griego drove the getaway car.

One suspect was sentenced to 12 years in prison, the other two are awaiting trial.
