New Mexico unveils new online portal

Posted: Updated:

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - New Mexico has redesigned its online gateway to state government services and information.

The Department of Information Technology said the state's Internet portal (http://www.newmexico.gov ) had not undergone a major update since it was launched in 2005.

The new online portal provides links to a wide range of information, including a section for visitors to New Mexico with guidance on museums, parks and cultural events.

There's a link to a New Mexico Press Association web site that makes available public notices about governmental activities.

Gov. Susana Martinez's office unveiled the updated portal last week and said the state's previous website received an average of 24,000 visits a day.
