Amarillo, TX - After nearly two hours of public input about Amarillo's downtown plan, the Amarillo City Commission voted yes 5-0 for the revitalization.
The plan includes a brand new ball park and multipurpose event venue, hotel and parking garage.
All three of which carry a $113 million price tag.
The city says the plan will not increase residents property tax and will bring several jobs to the city.
Groundbreaking is anticipated for Spring 2012.
