Amarillo, Texas - This week it's all about two sprinklers that look more like geysers and mis-directed sprinklers watering more sidewalk than grass.
A viewer sent in photos of a sprinkler shooting straight up into the air at AISD's Crockett Middle School. We spoke with the district's grounds supervisor who tells us it's already been fixed. If you see any water wasting problems on AISD grounds, you can call their 24-hotline at 326-1500.
A similar problem was happening at Academy Sports. The store manager told us he wasn't aware it was broken, but now that he knows, he'll do something about it.
At St. Andrew's School, the sprinklers weren't facing the right way and water was running down the street. The school says they'll get someone out to look at the sprinklers and assured us the problem would be fixed as soon as possible.
As always, if you see any water wasting, snap a photo and email it to Kristen Guilfoos at waterwasters@newschannel10.com
