Stacy Sakai

Stacy Sakai is originally from San Mateo, California and spent seven years as a producer, reporter and anchor in Maryland.

Stacy graduated from the University of California, San Diego, where she received a BA in communication and a minor in Law and Society. While at UCSD she competed for the school on its equestrian team.
 
Stacy has won seven Associated Press Awards for her investigative reporting, sports features, and human interest stories. She was voted best anchor by Delaware Today Magazine and had a day named in her honor in Laurel, Delaware for her charitable work. While in Maryland she raised more than twenty thousand dollars for local charities and would love to help out anywhere she can here in the Texas Panhandle area.
 
Telling stories that matter to the community is at the top of her list, so please email her any and every idea or issue you feel needs attention. If Stacy is out in the community she wants you to come up and say "hi." She is very interested in learning all about what the High Plains has to offer!
 
When Stacy isn't at work she is with her three dogs: Ella-Grace, Taya, and Rocky. She also enjoys reading, her favorite books are: A Shadow of the Wind, An Age of Innocence, Seabiscuit, and Marley and Me, just to name a few.
