Amarillo Police respond to more than 75 calls for firework violators

Amarillo, TX - Officers responded to more than 75 calls for firework violators this fourth of July holiday.

And one arrest for deadly conduct and violation of the fireworks ban.

Around 11:30 Monday night, Amarillo Police Officers heard several shots fired in the 1000 block of North Hughes.

26 year old, Mario Guadalupe Arreola was arrested for deadly conduct and booked into the Potter County jail.

While talking to the other occupants of the residence, officers observed numerous packages of fireworks inside the residence.

Arreola was also charged with violation of the emergency declaration.
