Fireworks and burn ban remains in effect

Amarillo, TX - Despite last night's rain that many in the area received, fireworks and burn bans remain in place this fourth of July.

Grilling is allowed, but fire pits are prohibited.

Fireworks that would be sold at fireworks stands are not allowed.

However, novelty items like pop-its or champagne confetti poppers are legal as long as you don't need a match or heat source to set them off.
