Palisades garage sale for brush firetruck

Amarillo, TX - The Palisades Fire Department is closer to getting a new brush firetruck after a weekend fundraiser.

The group raised $1000 on Saturday through a garage sale.

The truck costs about $5000.

They plan to have several fundraisers this summer.

In February, the Palisades area lost homes in the wildfires.

Officials say if they had a brush truck, it would have helped them fight the massive fires
