Texas - The Department of Public Safety is sending out a warning on the latest scam happening in the state.
Scammers have been calling Texans all over the state demanding payment for overdue red-light camera tickets.
The scammers claim to work for the agency and say an arrest warrant will be issued unless a credit card number, social security number, and other personal information are provided.
DPS does not collect traffic fines or oversee red-light cameras.
They say if you receive a call like this to write down any information from your caller ID and contact the police.
