NEW MEXICO - The wildfire near Raton is now 5 percent contained.
It has burned more than 25,000 acres north of Raton and south of Trinidad, Colorado.
Right now residents are hearing from fire officials at a meeting at Raton High School.
Many residents were asked to evacuate their homes Tuesday evening.
Interstate 25 between Raton and Trinidad remains closed because of the fire.
Meanwhile, another fire has burned about 25,000 acres near the headquarters of Carlsbad Caverns.
