10PM: Crews are making lots of progress fighting a wildfire in Cottle County.

It's now 80% contained. The 17,000 acre blaze is sending thick smoke across much of the Southeastern Panhandle.

The blaze sparked Saturday afternoon near Paducah during a brief thunderstorm when lightning struck a very dry, open field.

Luckily, no injuries are being reported and fire crews were able to save all the homes so far.
