NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma is ready to move on without Dorial Green-Beckham. The receiver was kicked out at Missouri and transferred to Oklahoma hoping he could play this season. The NCAA has ruled against his waiver request. Now the focus shifts to Sterling Shepard, Durron Neal, K.J. Young and others heading into Saturday's opener against Louisiana Tech.

(AP) - Tulsa's first chance to make an impression in its new conference comes early. The Golden Hurricane host Tulane in their American Athletic Conference debut tomorrow night. Tulsa should put a better offense on the field than last year. Receiver Keyarris Garrett is back after missing most of last season with a broken leg. He caught 67 passes for 845 yards and nine touchdowns the previous year.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma City Thunder have traded center Hasheem Thabeet and cash to the Philadelphia 76ers for a protected second-round draft pick in 2015 and a trade exception. The Thunder have a year to use the trade exception. Thabeet played in 66 games in 2012 and averaged nearly a block per contest.

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Former University of Oklahoma women's basketball player Danielle Robinson is one of 27 players invited to take part in the 2014 USA Basketball Women's National Team trials. The training will start September 8th at the U.S. Naval Academy. The 12-member team will be named prior to the start of the FIBA World Championship that starts September 27th.
