TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Cameron Booty rushed for 176 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Jenks recovered from an early deficit to defeat Union 38-22 in the Class 6A championship game last night. Cooper Nunley also threw for 206 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns for the Trojans (14-0), who were led by Steven Parker's 164 receiving yards on five catches.
NEW YORK (AP) - LeBron James is the early vote-getter for the NBA All-Star game, edging Kevin Durant. The Miami Heat star has 609,336 votes, while the Oklahoma City's Durant trails by about 2,000 votes in the first returns announced by the league yesterday. The All-Star game will be held in New Orleans Arena on Feb. 16.
LAS VEGAS (AP) - Bareback rider Kaycee Feild won for the second consecutive round last night in the National Finals Rodeo, scoring 83.5 points on Cool Water. Feild, from Payson, Utah, remained atop the season standings with $186,881. Seeking a third consecutive season title, Feild also leads the aggregate standings with 663 points for eight rides. He's trying to become the first rider to win three consecutive aggregate titles since Jack Ward Jr. in 1974-76.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Thunder forward Kevin Durant regularly dishes out assists. Now he's dishing out food. Durant is a partial owner in Kd's Southern Cuisine, a contemporary new restaurant that opened this week in the lower Bricktown section of Oklahoma City. The 10,000-square-foot facility located along the Bricktown Canal features southern-style food staples like barbecue pork ribs, fried catfish, candied yams and collard greens.
