Fires in the Panhandle


Westcliff and Woodlands CAN go home, with the exception of Brookfield Street in Westcliff.
Cliffside Estates, Mesquite Acres, Tascocita and Stoneridge residents CANNOT go home.
Tascosa Road from Coulter to Loop 335 will be closed overnight.

The Soncy fire is now about 75% contained.

Many fires are burning in the Panhandle area. Here is the latest.

Randall County:

There is a fire near Lake Tanglewood. Tangleaire and Ranch Acres residents are being allowed back in their homes. 

Three homes have been destroyed. Three other homes have been damaged. Five out-buildings are destroyed as well. This fie is 90 % contained at this time. Residents have not been told to go back in.

Potter County:

There is a fire burning near Loop 335 and 9th Ave. Tascocita Circle, Westcliff, Woodlands and Cliffside areas are all being evacuated.

A shelter is set up at Grace Fellowship at Plains & Western.

Several homes have been damaged in the Tascosita area.

Gray County/Pampa:

There is a fire burning near County Road 3 and HW 60. It is 100% contained.

The Gray County Sheriff's Office says Roads are back open.

Hutchinson County/Stinnett:

There is a fire about 3 miles southwest of Stinnett it is moving northeast. They have got fire breaks in place.

The Fire is 100% contained.

Residents can go back to their homes

The Hutchinson County PIO says they have every fire crew available out there.
