Texas - Senator Kel Seliger of Amarillo says legislators probably will not finish congressional redistricting before the end of this session.
He told the Houston Chronicle if they don't they can allow a panel of federal judges to draw the map or add it to the call for a special session in July.
They did pass new voting maps for the State House and Senate.
This year's fight has centered on drawing districts to account for the rapid growth of the Hispanic population in Texas.
A lawsuit to block the new districts is all but certain.
