Amarillo, TX- Those rejected by society because of addictions, prostitution and being in a gang can now find hope in a new Christian recovery home in Amarillo.
The Victory Outreach Christian Recovery Home opened their doors Sunday afternoon for the first time, welcoming those who need faith to help reach their full potential.
They will be giving shelter to those battling demons such as drugs and alcohol.
Pastor Greg Ruff says the residents will learn how to pray, read the bible and gain the ability to have a solid work ethic.
The recovery home will accept anyone facing troubles, Ruff says first they just need to have the desire to change.
"Once the desire is there, we believe that God is able to take that simple desire and from that point on, allow a man to come on to recover, or a woman to come here and then allow us to introduce them to Christ," says Ruff.
Anyone looking for help can come to the home for free, so they are asking for donations from the community to keep it up and running.
If you are interested in donating to the program you can contact Pastor Greg Ruff at 806-672-4512 or visit www.victoryoutreachamarillotx.com.
