Texas - A pre-abortion bill is just one signature away from going into law.
The Texas House gave final approval to the bill yesterday and would require women to get a sonogram at least 24 hours before having an abortion.
Doctors would be required to describe what the sonogram shows, including the existence of legs, arms and internal organs.
Anti-abortion advocates say the law is necessary to make sure women understand what an abortion entails.
At the start of the session, Governor Rick Perry declared the bill emergency legislation.
Perry is the final signature needed to pass the new recommendations into law.
