Al-Qaeda vows revenge against Americans

Al-Qaeda has confirmed today the death of Osama bin Laden in an internet message that vowed revenge on the United States.

Five days after President Obama announced bin Laden's death in a U.S. raid in Pakistan, al-Qaeda says the terrorist leader's blood will be a "curse" for American people and all allies of the United States.

The militant group also says, "Their (Americans) happiness will turn into sorrow, and their blood will be mixed with their tears."

The message then calls on all Muslim people in Pakistan to rise up and revolt against their government and the "filth of Americans."

Experts say the statement clears the way for the al-Qaeda to name a new leader, presumably Ayman al-Zawahri.
