Gay-Straight Alliance Club approved for Clovis High School

Clovis, NM - A new Gay-Straight Alliance Club will now be offered at Clovis High School to help fight bullying.

Students proposed the club back in March but the school's leader said technical issues kept him from immediately signing off.

The American Civil Liberties Union threatened to take legal action against the district.

An ACLU official say they will continue to keep a close eye to ensure the club is afforded the same treatment and access that any other non-curricular club enjoys.
