AMARILLO, TX - Investigators need help solving who struck an Amarillo mother with a vehicle and left her for dead.

According to detectives,  in September of 1997, 35-year-old Linda Jackson's body was found in the 3100 block of North Wilson. Her body was found partially unclothed.

Police believe Jackson was a prostitute and may have been murdered by someone she got into the vehicle with and that person later killed her. Over the past 14 years, there have been no suspects in the case. Police say they need possible names of someone who may have picked Jackson up.

"Sometimes they are doing these things because of hardships that people don't understand. They don't deserve to be murdered because of an occupation they chose. It may put them more so in a position than other people, but it doesn't give someone the right to kill somebody" Said Lt. Gary Trupe with Potter-Randall Special Crimes.

If you know anything about the murder of Linda Jackson, you are urged to call Potter-Randall Special Crimes at 806-378-9468.
