Luann Meyer was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She graduated Tascosa High School in
1979 and went on to attend Amarillo College in pursuit of a nursing career. She is married and has four children.
Luann received her Associate Degree in Nursing at Amarillo College and her Bachelor's Degree
in Nursing from West Texas A&M University. She obtained her Advanced Nurse Practitioner in
Women's Health Care at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 1990
and maintains her current State licensure and National certification as a Nurse Practitioner. She
returned to UT South Western for her colposcopic certification in 2000.
In February 2011, Luann accepted the position as Director of Clinical Services for the Texas
Panhandle Family Planning and Health Center. She manages the clinical nursing staff in the
physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of women's health care issues while maintaining
her qualifications as Nurse Practioner.
