Amarillo, Texas - The Amarillo man accused of running a woman off Interstate 40 in a violent act of road rage Thursday night is now back on road.

36-year-old Michael Hart was released from jail on $15,000 bond.

Police say he was angry at 47-year-old Angie Chavarria for cutting him off at the Sam's Club gas station so he followed her down I-40... Ramming his car into her SUV near the Crockett exit.

That sent her through the guard rail and into a tree, where her car flipped over.

She is in life threatening condition.

He faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
