Chamber president, husband found dead in SW Okla.

LAWTON, Okla. (AP) - Police are investigating the deaths the Lawton Chamber of Commerce president and her husband.

Capt. Craig Akard says 50-year-old Shelia Lee and 57-year-old James Lee were discovered in their home Monday morning. Akard says the couple's daughter had gone by to check on her mother because she hadn't shown up for work when she saw Sheila Lee on the floor through a window.

He says investigators are treating the deaths as homicides until they get more information from the state Medical Examiner's office.

Shelia Lee became president of the Lawton Chamber of Commerce and Industry in October. She had been with the chamber since 1996.

The office was closed on Monday, and chamber Chairman Tim Hushbeck said he expected it to be closed a little while longer.
