Amarillo, TX - Additional assistance is now available for the dozens of families affected by the recent wildfires in the Panhandle.

Starting Tuesday, the Small Business Administration has representatives available to help residents and businesses owners who lost property to apply for disaster loans.

Phil Duncan from the SBA says the low-interest disaster loans will help victims repair or replace damaged or destroyed property.

"Many times, particularly in this type of disaster, where a fire burns up your home, it burns up not only a life time worth of memories, but all of your household goods, your home. This is an opportunity to help them repair or replace their existing home," says Duncan.

The loans are also available, even if you did not have any physical loss but suffered economic injury as a small business.

To apply for the disaster loan visit the Randall County Annex on Georgia street, or call 1-800-659-2955.
