Clarendon, Texas - The Mulkey Theatre in Clarendon has made the list of the most endangered historic places in Texas. Preservation Texas announced this week that the theatre is one of nine others in Texas who are in threat of destruction.

The Mulkey Theatre opened in 1946 in downtown Clarendon and closed its doors 40 years later in 1986. The building has suffered damage from harsh weather and vandalism over the years. Further funds to revitalize the building are limited at this time.
