FBI, Texas Rangers investigate missing toddler

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (AP) - The search area has been expanded for a Texas toddler missing nearly a week.

Texas Rangers and the FBI have joined the investigation into the fate of 18-month-old Joshua Davis Jr. of New Braunfels. He was reported missing from his family's mobile home the night of Feb. 4.

New Braunfels police Lt. Michael Penshorn said Thursday that although the search has been expanded to a two-mile radius, it's more of a recovery operation due to recent freezing temperatures.

Penshorn also says authorities are looking at "all possible scenarios." He says officers continue to interview everyone associated with the boy, but there are no suspects or persons of interest at this point.

Law officers Tuesday removed a tarp and a bucket from the home.

New Braunfels is 20 miles northeast of San Antonio.
