Admission to Texas-Oklahoma hoops game is free

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Citing the winter storm passing through the state, University of Oklahoma officials say admission for the Sooners' game with Texas will be free.

The game between Oklahoma and No. 3 Texas is set to start at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.

St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, who recently was named the NFL's offensive rookie of the year, is scheduled to attend the game and be honored at halftime. Bradford won the Heisman Trophy in 2008 while starring for the Sooners.

It's the second time in eight days that Oklahoma has offered free admission to a home game. The university also did so on Feb. 2 when the Sooners hosted Baylor in the wake of another major winter storm. The Sooners won that game 73-66.
