LUBBOCK, Texas — Police say they suspect the body found along a remote roadside is that of a missing 15-year-old Lubbock girl who was listed for weeks as a runaway.

Capt. Greg Stevens said Tuesday that the medical examiner's office in Lubbock was expected to officially identify the body found Monday evening but investigators are nearly sure it's Elizabeth Ennen.

Stevens says there are no missing persons who "meet the description of the body we found" and the clothing on the body is "more than quite similar" to what the teen was wearing.

Police are obtaining a murder warrant for Humberto Maldonado Salinas Jr. Jail records show the 45-year-old does not have an attorney. He remains in Lubbock County Jail on an aggravated kidnapping charge related to Ennen's disappearance Jan. 4.
