Pampa, TX - A defense attorney for a mother who was found not-guilty in the death of her six week-old baby girl, is speaking out.
Mary Lee Bolin's attorney, Harold Comer says he and his client are happy with the outcome.
Mary Lee Bolin was accused of killing her six-week-old baby Kenzee Bolin after an autopsy showed the baby died from traumatic injuries.
Bolin's attorney says she was living under a cloud of suspicion for four years.
He says she's not only legally not guilty but she is factually innocent based on expert testimony in the case.
He says a Neuro-Pathologist testified that Kenzee had a pre-existing condition called Evolving Chronic Subdural Hematoma.
The 31st District Attorney's office, were the prosecutors in the case. They released the following statement:
"We at the 31st District Attorney's office appreciate the hard work and dedication displayed by the jury in the Bolin trial. It was an extremely difficult case with a considerable amount of medical evidence for the jury to absorb. We were also glad to see the courtroom was occupied by interested persons. We believe it is important to have people present in the courtroom to listen and form their own opinions based upon the evidence."
