AMARILLO, TX - An Amarillo mother is sexually assaulted and murdered in her Bishop Hills home, but police still have not pieced together who committed the crime nearly two decades ago.
Back in February of 1994, the teenage sons of Jackie Hogue found their mother shot to death in her own bed. According to police, there was not a forced entry into her home on Windsor drive and robbery has been ruled out as a part of Hogue's shooting death.
Investigators tell NewsChannel 10, they have re-opened the case several times, but they have never been able to pin down the missing link and make an arrest.
"Its absolutely not anything you'd expect to happen. Not to someone like Jackie. Someone went in her room and killed her. You want to know why, but the reason will never be good enough. I can't imagine a reason good enough to do that." said Hogue's sister, Diana Trook.
If you know any information about Jackie Hogue's murder, you are urged to call Potter-Randall Special Crimes at 378-9468.
