Debate over Mark Twain Classic

Amarillo, TX - A novel that has maintained it's controversial status for over a century is back in the spotlight.

Alabama-based, New South Books will re-release and sanitize the of language of Mark Twain's, "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn"

They will remove two specific racial epithets they say are only hurtful and not important to the overall theme of the novel.

This past week the local book club "Amarillo Reads" studied the American classic and gathered today to discuss their collective opinions.

The leaders of the Amarillo Public Library have not decided if they will carry the new sanitized version.
