Amarillo teen killed

Amarillo, TX - An Amarillo teen is dead, following a four-car accident on Coulter near 45 Street.

Amarillo Police say the 16-year-old girl was the passenger in a Mustang, driven by a 16-year-old boy. He is now booked into the Youth Center of the High Plains on a charge of negligent criminal homicide.

Officers say the Mustang was speeding, and slammed into a truck stopped at a red light on Coulter on Friday. This caused a chain reaction where several other cars were hit.

Two other 16-year-old passengers from the Mustang were taken to the hospital, along with two people from the truck.

Police are not releasing any names right now.
