AMARILLO, TEXAS - A country music concert for a Pampa charity over the weekend has some people singing the blues.

Country legend John Conlee was supposed to headline the benefit for the Gray County Association for Retarded Citizens. But when the it came time for his sound check, he never showed up.

The promoter says Conlee had a dispute about his contract. NewsChannel 10 tried calling Conlee for comment repeatedly over the weekend and again Monday. He never responded to our request for comment.

In the end the charity was set back about $8,000 because of returned ticket costs. The group is already planning new fundraiser to overcome those fees. If you are interested in helping, please contact the Pampa Sheltered Workshop at (806)-669-6322.
