Religious monument unveiled in front of Courthouse

Stinnett, TX - There's a grassroots effort to put religious monuments in front of courthouses across America, and it's starting right here in the Texas Panhandle.

The movement reached another milestone Saturday, unveiling yet another monument, this time in front of the Hutchinson County Courthouse in Stinnett.

On top, you'll find an excerpt from the Bible. On the sides are quotes from our Founding Fathers.

Despite recent lawsuits filed by the ACLU dealing with a similar monument in Oklahoma, no one at Saturday's ceremony had any concerns about the separation of Church and State, or the controversy it might stir up.

It was paid for by donations from Hutchinson County residents, who were able to pitch in more than $20,000.
