Clovis man sentenced to eight years in prison

Clovis NM - A Clovis man is sentenced to eight years in prison for several drug charges.

34-year-old Marcello Garza is spending time behind bars for two separate arrests.

The first incident was in September 2009 when he was charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.

Garza was then found with .87 grams of methamphetamine in March 2010 during a routine traffic stop.

Garza will serve his term in the New Mexico State Penitentiary with one year of supervised parole following his prison sentence.
