Human Trafficking Prevention

Arlington, TX - A meeting of the Human Trafficking Prevention Task Force was convened by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbot in Arlington on Wednesday.

Lawmakers gathered to discuss Human Trafficking Prevention, including steps the state is taking towards prevention during the 2011 NFL Super Bowl.

They also reviewed initiatives that have been implemented by Dallas-area Task Force members since their inaugural meeting last January.

The U.S. Department of State estimates that 12.3 million adults and children worldwide are currently victims of forced labor and prostitution.
