Amarillo, TX - An Amarillo woman is found dead inside her home, and now investigators are calling it murder.

52 year old Ofelia Lopez was found in her North Taylor Street home Friday morning with no pulse.

A detective from the Amarillo Special Crimes Unit inspected the scene and observed no signs of a struggle.

It was first believed Lopez died from a medical problem. But, autopsy results released Tuesday indicate she had injuries to her neck and head and died from a gunshot wound.

No arrests have been made at this time. Police have not ruled out her family members, but not do believe they are responsible.
