Ochiltree Co. Murder Investigation

Ochiltree, Co., TX - An Ochiltree County man is dead and a man is in custody, suspected of his murder.

The Ochiltree County Sheriff's office says 44-year-old Chuckwa Don Crabtree is in the county jail and has been booked for the murder of 45-year-old Michael Goolie Miller.

Sheriff's deputies reportedly received a tip a threat had been made.

They arrived at the Miller residence 15 miles south of Perryton, saw a man run into the house and heard a gunshot.

Crabtree then surrendered to deputies. Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The Potter County Grand Jury will not recommend charges against two Amarillo police officers involved in the shooting death of a man this past June. On June 27th, Officers Bryan Gaitan and Michael Wheeler responded to a trespassing call at an apartment complex on South Nelson Street.
